Traces of Movement (2016-2018) is a painting and textile collection on capturing sound through synesthetic visual representation. The ink painting series is drawn on imaginary noise with various textures, speeds and kinetic tendencies. The static images are then transferred onto soft surfaces as machine-knitted or printed textile.
The project’s exhibition is comprised of the original artworks and the textile installation, accompanied by a quadraphonic soundscape created by the sound artist Kamil Korolczuk. Traces of Movement is held at Hietsun Paviljonki as part of the Helsinki Design week.
