A video portrait of Mélisande, based on Maurice Maeterlinck’s symbolism play Pelléas et Mélisande. Hinted in the original story, the mysterious character’s fate was linked to the ring that she lost in the water. Elements such as the lake, the lost-in-the-forest, the death of Mélisande and the repetition cycles are reinterpreted both visually and acoustically in an abstract, minimal way.
