Scroll

Throughout a week, volumes of “International Library of Famous Literature” are torn page by page, then glued into a long scroll hanging down from the wall, transforming the form of a book back to its older shape, a scroll. The title suggests “scroll” as the verb for scrolling while browsing web-pages on the Internet. The piece is created to trigger thoughts on the way of reading in the digital age, about how the act of scrolling unintentionally “returned” to the ancient form of reading, and how this infinite scrolling of information alters our perception of reading.
